Diseases- stricken some areas of Sarawak.

The construction of Bakun Dam has been completed and soon will be operated for the purpose of Sarawak score and to increase the income of Sarawak government.The Sarawak government so proud of it but comes another issue that affected the resettlement of Bakun. In the Minister of Public Health and Environment, Dato' Sri Wong has worn the public that Be extra careful in disease- stricken area like Bakun area.
The disease that cause by a bacterium (burkhoderia pseudomailei) that found in the soil, rice paddies and stagnant water. Before Bakun Dam was built the people of Belaga lives in peace and never affected by the deadly disease.The beauty of the jungle of Belaga has been destroyed and environment has been changed .The beauty of the land and water has been contaminated and it causes a lot disease to come to attacking the people in Bakun.area. Bakun Dam is a development comes from the government and it will create a lot of jobs for the people in Bakun but what had happened to them now is the area of Bakun is a area that stricken by diseases.
After Bakun Dam there are eight Dams will be built in Sarawak. The Question here is that WHY DO THE GOVERNMENT OF SARAWAK SO EAGER TO BUILD THOSE DAM? By doing so, are the people of Sarawak become richest compare to the pass years? We as natives of Sarawak should aware of the consequences of the dam. An example has been seen in the area of Bakun. The disease mainly cause by the changing of the wheather, the virignity of the jungle has been destroy and the beautiful of the water has been popullated because of the construction of the dam.
Most of the rivers in Sarawak has popullated by the estates oil palm, trees plantation estates and timber operations. One an example that i can share with, on 5 July 2011, Bing ak Renggi from Rumah Kimin, Sg Mulih, Suai, Niah had reported to us (DAP), the stream that they used for their daily use has been popullated by oil palm company. The Oil Palm Company had given " tangki " for the purpose of stalling the water for cooking and drinking water but on the other hand they have to go to the stream to take their bath, to clean their cloths everyday. For long term, the people of Sg. Mulih, Suai, Niah will soon affected by all kinds diseases. The government should aware of the cleanliness of our State and PM always say " RAKYAT DI DAHULU "
