RIVER MAIN SOURCE OF PROTEIN FOR VILLAGERS.

DAP- MIRI- On behalf of YB Alan Ling,  YB Fong Pau Teck, so sorry and worry about the quality of rivers and streams in Sarawak. Many years back when was still schooling at my villager at Ulu Baram in the year of  70's and 80's the river of Baram not yet contaminated. All the small streams at Ulu Baram was still clear and clean. The activities that we used to do when we were still young boy was went for fishing, snogelling and picnic. We enjoying ourselves by going for  picnic, bathing, eating some fish that we caught.
In the year of  1990's, the river of Baram started to mud and contaminated by the timber activities.All the rivers in Sarawak are muddy and contaminated. In Sarawak there many rivers like Sg.Sarawak, Rajang, Sadong, Limbang, Tinjar, Baleh, Balaga, Bakong and many other more that not written here.All the rivers are contaminated and hardly be used for the purpose of daily used.
When the river is contaminated and muddy the less fish can be found. Along the those rivers there are so many villagers and the river main source of protein for them.But now compare to those are the days we can easily go and  caught fish, to our suprise the whole day we go for fishing we can caught more than half a kilo.The reason why the fishes are less because of the contaminated water. For long term, the fish might not healthy for the villagers and might cause all kinds of illness and diseases.
What cause these rivers contaminated and muddy are Timber activities, oil Palm plantations, and trees plantations.These are the primarily cause of the rivers muddy and contaminated. There are some other activity that might cause the fish becoming less is poisoning the fish and this poison they can buy in the town.
The government should do something to protect all the rivers in Sarawak. Is there any enforcement rule for the activities that had happened.Compensation should be given to those who involed in illegal activities. These plantations used all kinds faterlizers and gramozens for their plantation.The government should monitar and send enforcement group to check on them. The government should look into the people's healthy environment.  

Driving with high risk and fear. ( MIRI- KUCHING ROAD )

DAP- Miri. When ever holidays comes most peoples will going back home to meet their family members and relatives.  I and my family also spend our holiday in Betong. The journey will takes nine hours of traveling via road by car We just travel by a Kancil car.
When we travel we have a fear and it will take high risk for us to travel by road because of the situation of the Miri- Kuching road. The condition of the road started bad and hole pools  from Miri towm up to Kuching. No doubt there is some repairs of the road but it just covered the hole pools and even do the repair when the election comes. Why do the road in Sarawak still unrepaired or construct in properly ways.
As we driving at night we need go by the guiding of the white line and yellow line. The Miri to Kuching road, we hardly see the white line and the yellow line. We hope the government do something with it  so that it might help those who travels via this road. Most of the accident may cause by the bad condition of the road.
We DAP, would like to inform and ask the government of Sarawak to do something to make sure the road in Sarawak is better.

TANAH RAMPAS TAIB.

Ba Sarawak, 200 Kes penyarut Tanah di Sarawak dalam 2011.Bepuluh-ribu hektar tanah bansa Dayak udah dirampas Taib Mahmud. Ke tebal ag tanan nya diatu udah diempu sida sebilik. Sida udah bulih penguntong ari ti nyual tanah-tanah nya soh kompeni- kompeni ladang.Empat-lima taun tu udah Raziah Mahmud enggau Mahmud Abu Bekir udah bulih pemeri ari Kepala Menteri, ti bulih mesai pulau Singapura.
KUCHING- BIDAYUH- Munggu Kupi enggau Antara Sg. Igom Sadong, Dirampas manangenggi Taib (Ahamad Bin Su'ut)- Poliga. IBAN- Sebangan. Dirampas Raziah Mahmud (menyandi Indu Taib ) Quality Concrete Holdings Sdn Bhd.

SUDAH JATUH DITANGGA.- Penduduk Bakun

DAP- Miri, Daivd,mengwakili YB Alan Ling, Walkil rakyat Piasau Dan YB Fong Pau Teck, Wakil Rakyat Pujut.Kami merasa sedih dan terharu mendengar berita yang tidak baik melanda penduduk Bakun yang baru dipindahkan beberapa tahun yang lalu. Setelah bertungkus lumus menjalani kehidupan baru dan belum sempat lagi untuk merasakan kesenangan yang diberi oleh pihak kerajaan, datang lagi malapataka melandai mereka
setelah Empangan Bakun siap dibina dan akan gunakan oleh kerajaan untuk memajukan Sarawak, umumnya Malaysia. Kerajaan menjanjikan kepada Rakyat akan  memberi banyak peluang pekerjaan untuk penduduk setempat, akan tetapi pekerja dari negara asing yang banyak berkerja ditapak Empangan Bakun.Ditimpa dengan masalah harian cukup memeningkan kepala mereka ditimpa lagi dengan Penyakit yang sangat ditakuti dan membahaya yang dapat mengacami kehidupan mereka.
Menurut kepercayaan orang Kenyah ( kaum ini terdapat di Bumi kenyalang ), apabila tapak perkuburan ditenggelami dan diceroboh dengan tidak dihormati maka roh-roh nenek moyang akan marah di sebabkan rumah yang didiami oleh mereka sudah dimusnahkan. Kaum Kenyah yang beragama Kristian menghormati nenek moyang dengan mengingati mereka pada 2 Nov setiap tahun. Mereka yang hidup di Empangan Murum juga harus memberi penghormatan kepada nenek moyang dengan adanya percayaan secara kristian dan semua penduduk kampung harus menyertainya.
Malapataka yang menimpa penduduk Bakun dan mereka yang hidup dihilir Empangan Bakun ialah Penyakit Meliodosis dan leptospirosis. Menurut kajian dari Kementerian Kesihatan Sarawak ia disebabkan loeh kecemaran tanah dan air. Sebelum Empanagan Bakun dibina Penyakit sedemikian tidak pernah terjadi pada mereka jadi setelah Emapanagan Bakun dibina penyakit ini muncul akibat kemusnahan tanah dan kekotoran air yang digunakan oleh penduduk Bakun mahupun sekitar Kapit dan Sibu.Penyakit yang sedemikian sangat membimbangkan penduduk- penduduk tersebut.
Satu penyataan yang dikeluarkan oleh The Star, Sarawak, Isnin 2 Mei 2001, menyatakan keadaan Batang Rajang sanagt menurun dan keadaan sungai sangat membahaya untuk pengguna batang Rajang. Keadaan sungai yang kotor jika dibandingkan dengan sebelum Empangana Bakun dibina dahulu. Ditebing sungai rajang " Muddy " ini menyebabkan penduduk penduduk di hilir bakun susah untuk menjalankan tugas harian mereka.Mengapa Rakyat harus mengorbankan nyawa mereka demi untuk kemajuan. Rakyat Sarawak tertindas akibat arus pembangunan sedangkan pembanunganan itu hanya untuk kepentingan seorang saja. Apakah Rakyat harus dipersalahkan? Penyakit tersebut menyerang penduduk yang tak bersalah dan mereka yang diserang oleh penyakit tersebut. Mereka sendiri juga yang membiayai kos pembayaran Hospital. Kerajaan  harus memberi bantuan untuk membantu mereka yang menghidap penyakit tersebut. JOM UBAH SARAWAK.

Diseases- stricken some areas of Sarawak.

The construction of Bakun Dam has been completed and soon will be operated for the purpose of Sarawak score and to increase the income of Sarawak government.The Sarawak government so proud of it but comes another issue that affected the resettlement of Bakun. In the Minister of Public Health and Environment, Dato' Sri Wong has worn the public that Be extra careful in disease- stricken area like Bakun area.
The disease that cause by a bacterium (burkhoderia pseudomailei) that found in the soil, rice paddies and stagnant water. Before Bakun Dam was built the people of Belaga lives in peace and never affected by the deadly disease.The beauty of the jungle of Belaga has been destroyed and environment has been changed .The beauty of the land and water has been contaminated and it causes a lot disease to come to attacking the people in Bakun.area. Bakun Dam is a development comes from the government and it will create a lot of jobs for the people in Bakun but what had happened to them now is the area of Bakun is a area that stricken by diseases.
After Bakun Dam there are eight Dams will be built in Sarawak. The Question here is that WHY DO THE GOVERNMENT OF SARAWAK SO EAGER TO BUILD THOSE DAM? By doing so, are the people of Sarawak become richest compare to the pass years? We as natives of Sarawak should aware of the consequences of the dam. An example has been seen in the area of Bakun. The disease mainly cause by the changing of the wheather, the virignity of the jungle has been destroy and the beautiful of the water has been popullated because of the construction of the dam.
Most of the rivers in Sarawak has popullated by the estates oil palm, trees plantation estates and timber operations. One an example that i can share with, on 5 July 2011, Bing ak Renggi from Rumah Kimin, Sg Mulih, Suai, Niah had reported to us (DAP), the stream that they used for their daily use has been popullated by oil palm company. The Oil Palm Company had given " tangki " for the purpose of stalling the water for cooking and drinking water but on the other hand they have to go to the stream to take their bath, to clean their cloths everyday. For long term, the people of Sg. Mulih, Suai, Niah will soon affected by all kinds diseases. The government should aware of the cleanliness of our State and PM always say " RAKYAT DI DAHULU "

As i have mentioned in one of the  press last month, DAP man dreams of bettering fate of community. The infrastructure facilities  in Sarawak are bad conditions.July 30, 2011, the assemblyman of Baram said rural people not left out of development .The government did help and give their support the people by giving them some zinks, foods, mattress and others goods but these are the short term sources of living. Are these development that the government can offer the people in rural area?
The Borneo Post on Saturday, July 30, 2011, Dr. Elli showed the blockade by Bakun Community Safety Community (BSCS) to protest the bad road conditions in Sg Asap and mentioned  about Deadly diseases strike fear in resettlement in Bakun area. The Bakun road was newly built has been demaged and  a problem for the people in bakun resettlement to go Bintulu and Miri. In Sarawak most of the road to link each town to another town are a death trap.Lapok road is one of the worst road in Sarawak. The people of Baram and even the long houses along  the roadside has been suffered for more  than  40 years.When ever the election about to start, the lapok road will be leveled  and some part of it will bee repaired. The Lapok road should be built with good conditions and i suppose the government has the bajet to build and repair the road. Sarawak is one of the riches state in Malaysia but on the other hand Sarawak is the poorest state in Malaysia.The people of Sarawak are poor but the person who......... rule Sarawak is ............... The Sarawakians should UBAH....JOM UBAH SARAWAK.

DAYAK CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL (DCC) MIRI.

On Monday, Agust 1, 2011, was a meeting with a group of Dayak Businessman Youth by Dr John Brain Anthony at the time he meets DAP Piasau Assemblyman Alan Ling, Pujut Assemblyman  Fong Pau Teck and were present with the two of them was Chairlady Lim Su Kien, Miri Legal Aid Burean Chief Chang Choon Yee and some other PKR Youth and Dr. John Brain himself.
The main objective of his present to meet the YBs' was to officially elect a new member to join DCC. Among Dayak was chosen was Naga Tang a  businessman and a specialist advisor working in the oil and gas industry Martin Entamin. The two of them will hand to hand with the other DCC from Kuching and even from Kuala Lumpur.
The main purpose of the DCC in Miri is to help DAP to penetrate and handled the issues of Dayak in Sarawak. It is handicap for DAP when they speaks in Dewan Negeri during ADUN. The Dayak YBs' rejects the opinions of the DAP voice in the Dewan Negari just because of most of the DAP YBs' are Chinese.Therefore they cant voice or even speaks for the Dayak right.Pujut Assemblyman Fong Pau Teck believes DCC will help DAP answer accusations that DAP is not qualified to tackle Dayak issues now that they have qualified Dayak professionals in their  midst. Dap can speaks the issues of Dayak in the ADUN and represent the voices of the Dayaks.As for Piasau Assenblyman Alan Ling welcomed DCC as a useful collaboration between the Chinese and Dayak communities in achieving their common goals of addressing long-standing problems not addressed by BN.
